Wow, what an amazing day it was!
Today was our celebration of International Friendship Day. We partnered with the Church of Scientology and Corinthian Baptist Church to have an incredible event for the day, with many different people coming together to forge true and lasting friendships. The point for today’s event was to bring people together for something positive – there was no bias, no discrimination, nothing but pure respect for one another.
We sat at tables together and dialogued about what it means to live with the truth, how we can set a good example for others, why we need to treat other people how we would like to be treated, and how we can really respect the religious beliefs of others.
Each topic of dialogue came to us from the Way to Happiness booklet, which all guests had at their seat when they came in, and were able to take home with them.
We had quite a variety of people there, too: Sikh, Scientologist, Baptist, Methodist, Jewish, Black, White, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, African, Asian, Businessmen and Women, Artists, Government workers, and many, many more. I’m so proud of the event and all that went into it.
Thank you to the Church of Scientology for hosting, and thank you to Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church for providing an excellent dinner!
